Authorities have captured murder suspect Harvey James Mitchell after his wife was shot to death early today.
Mitchell, 31, was wanted for murder and weapon possession in the death of 34-year-old Keya Mitchell. He was taken into custody about 6 p.m. tonight.
Richmond County deputies responded to a shooting at Cedar Wood Apartments about 1 a.m. and found the victim dead from an apparent gunshot wound, said Sgt. William S. Leisey in a press release.
This is the county’s 21st homicide of the year.
