There’s been another another death on Cooney Circle in Augusta.

A Facebook post says she has three children.

“The Sheriff’s Office arrived on the scene and investigators are currently investigating the death as suspicious,” sheriff’s Lt. Allan Rollins said Saturday night in a press release. “The coroner’s office on the scene and investigators are interviewing neighbors and friends. No other details are available at this time.”

Marion Terry picThe cause of death is unclear and is pending an autopsy next week at the GBI Crime Lab in Atlanta, according to Kenneth Boose Sr. with the coroner’s office.

The death on Cooney Circle comes two weeks after another death on the street.  Marion Terry, 29, (pictured at right), was found dead on May 15 on Cooney Circle, and authorities discovered that he had just participated in a shooting that seriously injured a female neighbor.

DAVANTE PARKSAn investigation showed that Terry had joined an Augusta teen in shooting a woman Saturday on the same street. According to arrest warrants, 18-year-old Davant’e Parks (pictured in jail mugshot) and Terry shot Brittney McKie at 1806 Cooney Circle.

“(Parks) along with co-defendant Marion Terry who is now deceased, did shoot the victim several times,” a warrant says.

The teen allegedly provided Terry with the firearm and ammunition and went with him to shoot the 25-year-old victim at Jennings Homes Apartments in Augusta.

McKie was treated for injuries to the upper right arm, right thigh, left middle finger.
