The Augusta couple identified in Tuesday’s murder-suicide had been married just 20 days.
The coroner has identified the couple as Andre Wingo, 46, and Treasy Wingo, 47, of the 900 block of St. Andrews Place in Augusta. That is Estates at Perimeter Apartments in Augusta.
“Both died of at least one gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene,” Coroner Mark Bowen said in a press release.
The coroner said he should be able to say by next week who was the apparent shooter.
According to media reports, Andre Bernard Wingo and Treasy Heard were married Aug. 21, 2014, in Evans.
The coroner said Mr. Wingo was a long-time employee of Kimberly Clark in Beech Island.
