A Hephzibah woman caught with meth during a traffic stop didn’t help herself when a text message on her phone asked her to get meth for a friend, according to a sheriff’s report.
Crystal Marshall, 26, of the 1300 block of Hephzibah-McBean Road, was stopped for speeding on Wednesday. Deputy Billy Jones thought the woman appeared nervous and called for the drug dog, which helped him locate 2 grams of crystal meth in the vehicle.
A sheriff’s investigator eventually charged the woman with “intent to distribute” based on the amount as well as a text message found on her phone “about her getting methamphetamine tor another subject,” according to a sheriff’s report.
She remained in jail Friday morning under no bond.
