AUGUSTA, Ga. — A Richmond County mother is behind bars after neighbors say she locked her 2-year-old twins inside a bedroom.
Loreal Goggins, 26, has been charged with two counts of second-degree cruelty to children and deprivation of a minor.
Goggins allegedly left her 2-year-old twin sons alone in her apartment on the 300 block of Brandywine Place while she was out donating plasma at a facility on Peach Orchard Road. She claims she was gone one hour.
A neighbor saw one of the boys dangling from the second-story window and persuaded the boy to let go and caught him. The twin tried to follow his brother but was persuaded to stay in the room.
They tried to force open the apartment door but couldn’t, so they had to climb up the side of the building and crawl in through the window.
When they got inside, they say Goggins had tied the bedroom door closed so the toddlers couldn’t open it.
Everyone has this all wrong..She didn’t hurt her children. She’s a single mother trying to make ends meet. She deserves to be released and reunited with her babies..I know you can only judge by the charges but this one isn’t as it seems.Take it from an inside source….
Inside Source? How about I leave you in a room with the doors locked? Those children were helpless! One was dangling from a window? What if that child or those children had died or got hurt seriously! Good mother? Released? You sound stupid!
Ahe left her children, or should I say babies home alone for one but for two in the hot. With no power or ac….really she needs to be reunited with them. Single mother or not there are some things that u know that u don’t do.
