SLED is helping investigate an overnight shooting death in North Augusta that claimed the life of 23-year-old Donne Lee Brooks Jr., authorities said.
Brooks was pronounced dead at an apartment at Ridgeview Apartment on Bradleyville Road, Coroner Tim Carlton said. A 16-year-old was also shot in the foot around 2:45 a.m. Sunday and was transported to GRU Hospital.
The circumstances of the shooting are being investigated by North Augusta Department of Public Safety, SLED, Aiken County Sheriff’s Office and the Coroner’s Office.
