‘Active Investigation’ After 2 Residents Discovered Dead at Augusta Personal Care Home, Coroner Says

The Coroner’s Office is investigating two deaths from First Love Personal Care Home at 2403 Wrightsboro Road in Augusta.

The call came in just after 9 a.m. Sunday. Both victims were found by the caretaker in different areas of the home, Coroner Mark Bowen said in a press release. Four other residents were taken to the hospital by EMS. Autopsies will be conducted tomorrow.

The victims are as follows: Georgia Blount, 84 years old, and Sylvia Reid, 75 years old.

The coroner called it an “active investigation.”
