Aiken County Seeks Suspect Who Shot into Home & Killed Resident on Silver Bluff Road

-

Aiken County authorities are looking for information on the person who shot into a home Sunday night on Silver Bluff Road and killed a resident inside.

The victim, 33-year-old Willie Simmons Jr., was found with shot in the chest inside the front door after another resident woke up to the sound of gunfire. The victim died from his injuries. The incident happened at a home along the 3100 block of Silver Bluff Road, a press release says.

“The witness reported that when he looked out the window, he saw a person standing next to a vehicle at the edge of the road firing a weapon,” sheriff’s Capt. Eric Abdullah said. “There were several other victims present in the home at the time of the shooting that were not injured.”
