Aiken County authorities recorded another murder overnight after an Aiken man was found fatally shot in his home on Moon Shadow Street.
Stacey Judge, 28, was found dead inside his residence just after midnight Wednesday, authorities said.
“Just past midnight, deputies were called to 641 Moon Shadow Street for reports of shots fired,” sheriff’s Capt. Eric Abdullah said in a press release. “A second 911 caller told dispatchers that there was deceased male at the home. New Ellenton police officer found the male on the floor of the residence with an apparent gunshot wound.”
The victim was later pronounced deceased by Aiken County EMS. No suspect or motive was given.
Judge was already being remembers online by friends and family.
Kiana Judge said, “I hurt so bad Stacey Judge. I love you and I’m gonna miss your random outbursts. I’m gonna miss how you greet my kids when you see them, I’m gonna miss your hugs. I wish we would’ve went on that family trip you have been talking about for so long. I’m really gonna miss you! We are a close knit family and we’re in pain. Please pray for my family.”
Capt. Abdullah said that community assistance is important with any investigation.
“We ask that if anyone has any information that would support this investigation or video, we encourage them to contact the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office as (803) 648-6811,” he said in the press release. “You can provide information anonymously through Midlands Crime Stoppers. Your tip could earn you a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of the person(s) responsible for any crime.”
