Aiken Man is Found Shot to Death on His Couch

An Aiken man was found shot to death Wednesday night on his living-room couch, authorities said.

Caleb D. Hill, 30, was found after deputies were called to 24 Dallas Circle about gunfire.

“Responding deputies found an unresponsive Black male in the living room lying on a couch with apparent gunshots wounds to his body,” sheriff’s Capt. Eric Abdullah said in a press release. “The victim was confirmed dead by Aiken County EMS. The 911 caller said that they hear several shots and screaming.”

Investigators and the Aiken County Coroner’s Office are continuing this investigation.

“Community assistance is important with any investigation,” Capt. Abdullah said. “We ask that if anyone has any information that would support this investigation or video, we encourage them to contact the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office at (803) 648-6811.”
