Aiken Teen Killed in Shooting Outside McDonalds Restaurant

A 16-year-old boy was fatally shot Friday night outside a McDonalds restaurant in Aiken, authorities said.

The boy, identified as Thaj Nance-Parker, was shot around 7 p.m. Friday at the restaurant at 1157 York Street. Paramedics rushed him to Aiken Regional Medical Centers, where he was pronounced dead a short time later, authorities said.

Officers were reviewing surveillance video in their efforts to locate a suspect. “Investigators are actively continuing this investigation, but no suspect information is available at this time,” Aiken Public Safety Lt. Jennifer Hayes said in a press release.
