Aiken Woman Charged with Felony DUI After Wrecking Into Car & Injuring Three

An Aiken woman has been charged with three felony counts of DUI for causing a wreck two weeks ago that seriously injured three people.

Latisha Jenkins, 35, was charged Saturday with the felony offenses and booked into the Aiken County Detention Center, where she remained Monday.

According to the S.C. Highway Patrol, the collision occurred at 7:42 pm on July 25 on US Highway 1 at Pearlship Street.

“Ms. Jenkins drove left of center and struck another vehicle,” Lance Cpl. Tyler Tidwell said. “The driver of the vehicle she struck along with two passengers sustained injuries as a result of the collision.”

The names of the injured or their conditions were not released.
