Arrest Made After Gruesome Discovery of Aiken Man Murdered in Shed

-

Aiken police have announced an arrest in the May death of a man whose body was found in a backyard shed on Greenwich Drive.

Jaquarez Deshon Bibbs, 28, is being held for murder and weapon possession in the slaying of 22-year-old Jalen Jones. He was captured Monday in Richmond County with the help of RCSO deputies and agents with the ATF Rage Task Force.

Authorities say Bibbs and other suspects fired multiple rounds at the victim around 11 a.m. May 6 at a home at 320 Greenwich Drive SW in Aiken. Officers responded to the gunfire and found Jones dead in the backyard shed.

No other suspects have been arrested in the case, but a police report names at least one other suspect, a 24-year-old man from North Augusta.
