Augusta Boy, 8, Witnessed Deadly Beating on Younger Sister

-

Jada Mills victimAn 8-year-old Augusta boy was present Sunday when his mother’s boyfriend violently whipped and punched his 2-year-old sister in a deadly beating, according to new information released Wednesday.

Alex Murray’s senseless assault on little Jada Mills started Sunday when he tried to force-feed the toddler inside the home at 3509 Shady Brook Drive. He then spanked her bottom with a leather belt five or six times within an hour, striking her three to four times each time, according to warrants.

Finally, Murray – who stands 6 feet tall and weighs 160 pounds –  punched the girl twice in the stomach, leaving her struggling to breathe as her older brother watched in horror. She ended up unconscious with injuries to the head and abdominal area, a warrant says. She suffered a brain hemorrhage and a lacerated liver from the assault.

Meanwhile, friends of the girl’s mother, Tamesha Bussey, have set up a GoFundMe account (https://www.gofundme.com/beautifuljada) to help with funeral expensive and other costs. The fund’s goal is to collect $7,500.

A Facebook photo shows Murray in December posing with his girlfriend and her three children during happier times. It’s not clear where the mother was at the time of the beating.
