Augusta Man, 21, Dies in Motorcycle Crash After Car Makes U-Turn in Front of Him; Coroner is Investigating

An Augusta man died from injuries suffered in a motorcycle crash on Easter, and the coroner’s office is investigating.

Here is a press release from Richmond County Coroner Mark Bowen:

“The Coroner’s Office is investigating the death of Jack Ryle Jr.  21 years old of the 3100 blk Ashmore Dr. Augusta.  Ryle was riding his motorcycle south on Old Louisville Road when a vehicle made a u-turn in front of him.  Ryle was not able to stop the bike and struck the side of the vehicle.  Ryle was transported to Augusta University Medical Center where he died from the injuries he received. Ryle was pronounced dead at 0609 this morning. The crash happened yesterday 04/12/2020 @ 1954 hrs.  No autopsy will be done…….COD: Blunt Force Trauma…..”
