Augusta Man, 23, Fatally Shot at Local Gas Station; No Suspect Announced

The Richmond County Coroner’s Office is investigating the shooting death of 23-year-old Jalen Parks, according to a press release

Parks (pictured) was shot at least one time at the Get-N-Go gas station on the 2300 block of Windsor Spring Road in Augusta.

“Parks was taken to Augusta University Medical Center by EMS, where he was pronounced dead at 4:48 p.m.,” Coroner Mark Bowen said. “Parks will have an autopsy at the GBI Lab tomorrow.”

The sheriff’s office has not released anything on the killing or announced any motive or arrest. Stay tuned.
