An Augusta man was fatally shot Tuesday night on Old Barton Chapel Road in Augusta, authorities said.
Carl Collins Jr., 29, was found on the 2400 block of Old Barton Chapel Road with gunshot wounds at 11:06 p.m. Tuesday. He was rushed to Doctors Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 12:50 a.m. Wednesday, authorities said.
The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating the incident, according to a press release. No information on a possible suspect or motive was released.
