Augusta Man is Wanted for Raping Girlfriend at Knifepoint

-

An Augusta man is being sought by authorities for twice raping his live-in girlfriend after she tried to break up Tuesday night.

Trevahn Mells, 27, of Brandywine Place, is wanted for rape and kidnapping. He allegedly held her against her will and forced her to call in to work.

The 26-year-old victim said Mells snapped Tuesday night and told her she was not going to leave him, according to a sheriff’s report. As she tried to leave the apartment, Mells allegedly put a knife to her stomach, threw her to the floor and pushed her in the face.

“If you leave me, or tell anyone, I will cut you up into little pieces,” he allegedly said. “I will go after your family.”

The victim said Mells put a knife to her throat several times and eventually made her shower before forcing sex. At one point, he kicked in the bathroom door, worried she was calling someone. He took her phone again and forced her to have sex again, asking her to “let me make you feel good” and then threatening to “cut her” if she didn’t have sex, a report says.

Later, as he was brushing his teeth, the victim ran out to her car. Mells chased her and banged on her windows with his hand and her cell phone. But she was able to drive away.
