According to a sheriff’s report, the victim called the property manager of her complex to tell her she was assaulted by her husband.

The victim told a responding deputy that she had been arguing with Edgley about money when she took his house key.

“He became mad and threw a pot of hot coffee on her burning both her right and left legs,” the sheriff’s report says. “She also stated that Mr. Edgley hit her in the back with a piece of decorative wood.”

Edgley was located by the pool area of the apartment complex. He told the officer that they got into a verbal only argument and left the apartment to avoid trouble since he is currently wanted out of Banks County for  simple battery – family violence.

Edgley was placed under arrest for simple battery – family violence.

Gold Cross Med 22 responded for the burns and transported the victim to Doctor’s Hospital.
