Augusta Man Shot & Killed at Mobile Home Park

-

An Augusta man was shot dead early today at Augusta Estates Mobile Homes on Milledgeville Road.

Larry Elam Jr., 31 (pictured), was shot at least once and died at 1:03 a.m. at a local hospital, Deputy Coroner Kenneth Boose said in a press release.

The shooting happened about 12:30 a.m. today, when Elam was shot in the neck, Richmond County authorities said.

A 5-year-old girl inside the home was hit with glass and was sent to GRU Medical Center. Authorities only have a brief description of the suspects: Three black males traveling in an unknown vehicle.

Elam, who is shown here from a Facebook photo, is the county’s 7th homicide victim of the year.
