An Augusta man has become the latest homicide in Richmond County.
Nelson Kirkland, 35, was shot around 5:30 a.m. Friday and was pronounced dead about an hour later, Coroner Mark Bowen said.
He was shot at least once on the 1900 block of 2nd Avenue, the coroner said.
The sheriff’s office has not released any information on a suspect or possible motive in the case. Stay tuned…
