Augusta Man Wanted for Murder in Woman’s Fiery Death!

Cops are hunting an Augusta man for murder in Friday’s death of a woman after a house fire.

Darryl Walker, 53, is wanted for a homicide that killed 51-year-old Monique Johnson on the 1400 block of Ridgewood Drive in Augusta, according to a RCSO press release.

Johnson’s body was found by Augusta Fire Department officials inside the residence while putting out a house fire Friday afternoon.

Authorities say Walker fled the scene in a 2016 silver Nissan Altima bearing GA Tag RIG0731.  If contact is made with Darryl Walker, he is to be considered armed and dangerous.
