Richmond County authorities are seeking 20-year-old Reginald Harris Jr. for allegedly striking a former girlfriend in the head with a gun Monday at Elliott Park on Lumpkin Road.
Harris – a repeat offender who has five pending cases involving violence – is also accused of firing the gun into the ground at the park next to Butler High School. There were four adults and two juveniles at the park, authorities said.
The victims were at the playground Monday evening when Harris and another subject pulled up in a 2020 Dodge Charger and blocked their exit. Harris got out, brandished a gun to all of them and struck his ex-girlfriend in the head several times with the weapon, a report says.
The victims were able to get back into the vehicle and attempted to leave, but they heard three gun shots. “One victim observed Harris fire the shots into the ground towards the rear of the victim’s vehicle,” a report says.
Deputies observed a visual knot on the victim’s head. Gold Cross responded to treat her.
“USE CAUTION: Reginald Harris Jr. is considered armed and dangerous,” a Wanted Poster says.
Reginald Harris Jr. was last seen near the 5000 block of Millrose Circle in Clearwater, S.C.

Harris has five separate cases of simple battery and domestic violence that have gone unaddressed by the courts, dating back to August 2019, according to online court records. Despite continued accusations of violence, the young man remained free Monday to create more victims.
