Augusta Suspects Wanted for Robbing Chain & Opening Fire at Victim

-

Richmond County authorities are seeking the public’s help in identifying two armed suspects accused of trying to rob a victim of his chain and shooting at the victim as he fled.

The attempted robbery took place Saturday on the 3700 Block of Wheeler Road, sheriff’s Sgt. Caleb Lee said.

“Two suspects walked up to the victim and demanded his chain while displaying handguns,” the sergeant said. “The victim refused and fled. The suspects chased after the victim and fired shots. There were no reported injuries.”

Investigators obtained video images of the suspects from a nearby business.  Both subjects possibly frequent the area of Spicewood Drive and should be considered Armed and Dangerous.

Anyone that comes in contact with the above subjects or has any information as to their identity is asked to contact Inv. Terry Bale or any on call investigator at the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office at 706-821-1454 or 706-821-1020.
