-

Richmond County authorities are investigating a Tuesday night shootout outside an Augusta convenience store on Sand Bar Ferry Road.

Two or three men were involved in the gunfight around 7 p.m. outside Discount Food Store at 545 Sand Bar Ferry Road, according to sheriff’s Sgt. Caleb Lee.

“During the shooting, the front glass window was struck by a projectile,” Sgt. Lee said. “There were two victims inside the store when the incident occurred.”

Neither victim inside the store was struck by gunfire, but one of them was injured from glass debris.

No arrests have been announced in the case.
