Augusta Woman, 18, Charged with Statutory Rape on Girl, 14

-

An Augusta woman was charged last week with statutory rape on a 14-year-old girl.

A warrant says that 18-year-old Tyrianna Anderson engaged in sexual intercourse with the girl at a home on Thomson Lane. This was done “with the use of an artificial erect penis” with the younger girl on May 5.

A sheriff’s report says the underage girl’s mother came home and found the two females in bed together. Anderson ran to a wooded area, but a deputy found her and brought her back to the home. That is where she confessed to “having sex” multiple times with the other girl, the report says.

Anderson said she thought the other girl was 16. Deputies found a purple sex toy in Anderson’s bag, the report says.

Anderson, of the 500 block of Thomson Lane, was arrested last Wednesday on the misdemeanor offense.

The teen suspect remained in jail Wednesday night after a week in custody, unable to make a $5,000 bond.
