The sheriff’s office doesn’t play when it to comes to underage drinking.
A deputy issued citations to a waiter and five underage customers Friday at Azteca Maya restaurant in Grovetown, according to a sheriff’s report.
A deputy was dispatched Friday night for a complaint of underage drinking, a report says. An investigation revealed five minors had purchased or consumed alcohol. These five were give citations for minor in possession: Adison Boone, Cachary Homschek, Bryan Gray, Gage Powers and Dylan Edwards.
Adison Boone, who is under 21, handed a receipt to the deputy showing that she purchased two alcoholic beverages from Carlos Hermenegildo, a server. So the deputy issued a county-ordinance citation to Hermenegildo for failing to adhere to state law for serving alcohol.
