Charges are Pending as Augusta Family Raises Money to Bury 6-Year-Old Labarron Wright

-

Charges are pending in Thursday’s tragic accident that killed 6-year-old Labarron Wright.

An incident report says that an 18-year-old driver was at the wheel Thursday when it crashed on Horseshoe Road near Mike Padgett Highway. That driver is blamed for failure to maintain lane.

None of the nine people were wearing seat belts, and the victim was ejected and killed. Others were taken to Augusta University Medical Center.

A GoFundMe page for Labarron says he was ejected out of a windshield. “He is one of the loving kids of the family, sweet and intelligent,” the site says. “We are asking for help on his burial services. Unfortunately, we don’t have insurance.” (Link here: GoFundMe page)

Four of the passengers were children, including Labarron. Three others were also ejected from the vehicle at the time. An accident report narrative says the vehicle’s driver swerved to avoid a car that was backing out of a driveway. The teen lost control and the car flipped four times, the report says.
