Eight Suspects Arrested in Latest Prostitution Sting in Richmond County

-

In case you missed it in The Jail Report’s Nov. 13 paper, the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office made eight arrests in the latest crackdown on prostitution and solicitation in Augusta.

Those arrested on Nov. 6 were:

  • Ashley Taylor, 35, of Seneca, Solicitation or transport for prostitution

  • Crystal Fisher, 33, of Seneca, Solicitation or transport for prostitution

  • Robert Morris Jr., 37, of Augusta, Solicitation or transport for prostitution

  • Odyssei Wildridge, 43, of Augusta, Solicitation or transport for prostitution

  • Samantha Elders, 30, of Columbus, Solicitation or transport for prostitution

  • Mary Smith, 37, of Harlem, Solicitation or transport for prostitution

  • Taylor Brown, 26, of Martinez, Solicitation or transport for prostitution

  • James Kelly, 48, of Augusta, Solicitation or transport for prostitution

Members of the RCSO Narcotics/Vice/Gang division usually set up their operation in a local hotel room, targeting both the women who sell themselves online and the men who transport them.

The vice unit targeted websites where the women advertise their services with pictures and phone numbers. Officers called them and recorded what they were willing to do. The meet-up is usually done at a local undisclosed hotel, where officers set up undercover video surveillance to record the offer before making the arrest.
