Elderly Wagener Man Found Dead at Home & His Vehicle is Missing!

-

An elderly man in Wagener was found dead outside his home Monday afternoon and it appears he may have been killed during a home invasion, according to Aiken County authorities said.

Kenneth Goodwin, 76 (pictured), was found dead in the yard of his home on South Main Street around 3 p.m., authorities said.

Goodwin’s house appeared to have been burglarized and several items removed from his home, according to Coroner Tim Carlton.

Goodwin’s red Ford Ranger was stolen, according to a Facebook post by the New Holland Volunteer Fire Department. The vehicle has tool boxes down each side and has a tag of KLG 574. Contact the Aiken County Sheriffs Office if spotted. Do not approach them!

An autopsy on Goodwin’s body will be conducted on Tuesday in Newberry.
