Grovetown Thief Tries to Steal 125 Bananas from Walmart!

-

Walmart officials stopped a thief last week from rolling out a cart with 125 bananas at the Grovetown store, according to a sheriff’s report.

Rodney Myers, 54, was charged Friday with misdemeanor shoplifting.

Walmart Loss Prevention Officer Sherry J. Woodward told deputies that Myers placed dozens of the yellow fruit into his shopping car and then exited the store without paying. Nothing else was taken.

“The merchandise was recovered … at the door of the store,” the report says. “The total amount of the items was $40.”

The Jail Report can find no previous arrest of the suspect in our files.
