Help Identify the Jerk Who Rolled Stolen Stuff Out of Grovetown Walmart

-

Authorities need your help to identify this brazen thief who keeps trying to cart out merchandise from the Grovetown Walmart without paying.

He was successful on the afternoon of February 20 when he selected merchandise, loaded it into his cart and rolled it out of the store without making any payments, a sheriff’s report says.

On Feb. 28, asset protection specialist James Atakoglu was headed to lunch when he saw the same guy. When the suspect made eye contact with the worker, he turned around, got in a vehicle parked by the Garden Center near the fire exit and left. Atakoglu described the vehicle as a brown or possibly blue sedan unknown make or model.

Atakoglu then went and reviewed the security footage and watched video of the suspect placing $870 in merchandise in a tote. The suspect then went through the Garden Center and placed the tote near the fire exit before seeing Atakoglu and abandoning the tote.

If you can help identify him, please call the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office at 706-541-2800.
