Hephzibah Man Killed in Overnight Shooting; No Suspects Yet


A Hephzibah man was shot in the head Saturday night on New Karleen Road.

Sean Robert Bussard, 41, was pronounced dead at 10 p.m. Saturday at his residence, Coroner Mark Bowen said in a press release.

The sheriff’s office released this statement:

“Deputies responded to the 3800 block of New Karleen Road in reference to a shooting.  Upon arrival,  deputies located a male victim shot in the head. Investigators and crime scene techs are on the scene and are interviewing subjects. There is no suspect information at this time.” 

Friends of the victim are already remembering him on Facebook. Krista Goodman said this: “This is devastating…. There are no words… Rest in paradise my dearest friend. You will be missed beyond belief.”
