Hephzibah Woman Arrested for Firing Gun into Hotel Room

A Hephzibah woman was locked up late Friday for allegedly firing a gun into a Columbia County hotel room that was occupied by three people.

Ashlee Nicole Jackson, 27, was charged with three counts of aggravated assault, one count for each person that was inside of the room at the Quality Inn Augusta West at 4073 Jimmie Dyess Parkway, according to warrants.

There were no reports of injury, but authorities said Jackson “discharged a 9mm firearm one time through wall of the hotel and into the room.” The bullet becoming lodged in the back wall of the hotel room.

A motive was unclear. An arrest report says Jackson was employed next door at the Comfort Inn & Suites at 4071 Jimmie Dyess Parkway.

Jackson remained Saturday night at the Columbia County Detention Center under a $75,300 bond.
