Homeless Man ID’d as Person Found at Abandoned Car Dealership in Augusta

-

A homeless man was identified Wednesday as the person found dead in the parking lot of the former Johnson Cadillac dealership on Walton Way in Augusta.

Lee Marvin Johnson, 58, was identified through the use of fingerprints, which was necessary due to the condition of the body, Coroner Mark Bowen said. The man had been deceased for several days before being discovered.

The condition of the remains has led investigators to deem the death as “suspicious.” An autopsy has been scheduled to determine the cause and manner of death.

The old Johnson Cadillac dealership has been vacant for some time.
