In Augusta – Walmart Cashier Stuffs Hundreds in Her Pockets

-

Walmart officials caught a cashier stuffing hundreds in cash in her pockets from the register Saturday, according to Richmond County authorities.

Cashier Brianna Dicks was found with $520 in cash stuffed in her left-front pocket and right-back pocket from her register at the Deans Bridge Road location, a sheriff’s report says.

When security officials reviewed earlier shifts on surveillance tape, they realized Dicks had been pocketing cash for weeks. Here’s a list:

  • On Nov. 24, Dicks was seen placing $400 from register 21 in her front and back pockets.
  • On Nov. 25, Dicks placed $200 from register 25 in her front and back pockets.
  • On Nov. 27, Dicks placed $550 from register 5 in her front and back pockets.
  • On Nov. 28, Dicks placed $100 from register 11, $100 from register 5, and $100 from register 14 in her front and back pockets.

The total amount stolen from Walmart from multiple transactions was $2,220, the report says.

When a Walmart security employee confronted Dicks on Saturday about the money stolen from the registers she worked, Dicks pulled out $520 from her pockets.

Dicks, 28, of Blueberry Street, Augusta, was charged with felony theft by taking and taken to the Richmond County Detention Center. She remained in jail Sunday night under $5,700 bond.
