-

A Johnston man fondled a young hospital employee and tried to pull down her pants Saturday at Aiken Regional Medical Centers, according to authorities.

Gary Mathis, 44, has been charged with criminal sexual conduct in the third degree.

Here is what an arrest warrant says: “Mr. Mathis while unclothed did willfully and intentionally fondled the inner thigh/groin and attempt to pull down the pants of a female, by force. This incident occurred at 302 University Parkway.”

A public safety report describes the victim as a 20-year-old female employee of the hospital.
