Kia Sportage Driver Uses Money Trick to Steal $50 from Aldi Cashier in Grovetown

Who is this man? Columbia Columbia County authorities are hoping you can help identify the suspect or the man behind him.

On Jan. 14, the suspect entered the Aldi on Gateway Boulevard in Grovetown.  The suspect purchased candy and immediately began confusing the cashier by taking money back several times, ultimately gaining $50 from the cashier, authorities said.  That is theft by deception.

The suspect vehicle appears to be a newer model Kia Sportage.  The suspect is in front and the male behind was with him.
