Local Dad Checks Teen Daughter’s Facebook Account. It’s a Good Thing He Did…

A local father intercepted scary messages on his juvenile daughter’s Facebook messages that led to the arrest of a young man in Beech Island.

The father said the messages sent to his 15-year-old daughter in Williston led him to believe that his daughter has been sexually active with 20-year-old Clyde Robinson Jr. of Beech Island, according to a sheriff’s report.

An investigation led to Robinson’s arrest on Tuesday for criminal solicitation of a minor and unlawful dissemination of obscene material to an underage person.

The young man allegedly sent messages to the girl, asking “to do sexual acts” with her, according to an arrest warrant. He also sent her a penis picture over Facebook, a warrant says.

It’s unclear whether the two engaged in sex, but he has not been charged with having sex with the teen, only sending the illegal messages. According to the jail website, Robinson has already been released on bond from the Aiken County Detention Center.
