Man Dies After Deadly Shooting in Warrenville… 2 Men Run Away Toward St. Johns Place

Two men were seen running away from the scene of a deadly shooting on Friday night on Legion Road in Warrenville, according to Aiken County authorities.

Just after 9 p.m. Friday, the victim was found conscious with two gunshot wounds to his body on the 600 block of Legion Road. The man was rushed to Augusta University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead just after 10 p.m., Coroner Darryl Ables said.

The victim has been identified as 31-year-old Demetrius A. Williams of Aiken.

“Witnesses indicated that two Black males were seen running away from the scene towards St. Johns Place,” a press release says. “This investigation is on-going and as information becomes available it will be released.”
