Ikeila Carter, the mother of 2-year-old Aura Moody, who tragically passed away following a devastating incident on Friday night, has shared an emotional update with the public.

In her message, Carter reveals the overwhelming grief she is facing and the ongoing struggles her family continues to endure.

“It is literally taking everything in me to even type this up,” Carter shared in a recent message on a GoFundMe account.

“Words cannot describe the pain I am feeling losing my baby,” she wrote.

Carter, who is also a mother to a 6-year-old son and a 4-year-old daughter, is grappling not only with the heartbreaking loss of her little girl but also the recent passing of her grandmother just days earlier.

“I just lost my Grandmother Wednesday evening who I loved dearly and had taken care of for years,” Carter wrote.

In addition to the personal losses, Carter and her family are facing struggles to find a new home. She had been in the process of moving, looking for a new place for her family to live, but has yet to find a home.

“I still haven’t found anywhere to go. Everything in my house is packed up and I’ve thrown away the majority of everything,” she shared. “Me and my babies and children’s father and spouse were just about to try our luck and start fresh.”

Despite the overwhelming pain, Carter continues to focus on her two surviving children.

“I have to keep going for my other two,” she explained, expressing her determination to stay strong for them.

Carter has reached out to the community for prayers and support during this incredibly difficult time. “Please guys pray for me and my family. We really need it,” she said, also asking for help with resources or any form of assistance. “If there is anyone out there with resources or would like to help in any way, please reach out to me.”

Carter expressed her gratitude for the condolences and support she has received, adding that the kindness has meant a lot to her family during this painful time.

On Friday night, 2-year-old Aura Demoni Moody tragically lost her life after being struck by a car while playing on the sidewalk with family along Peters Road in Augusta. The family had gathered to mourn the recent death of Aura’s grandmother, and during this difficult time, a woman drove up onto the sidewalk, hitting Aura.

The child was rushed to Wellstar MCG Hospital, where she was declared deceased. Authorities have not yet named or charged the driver involved. The devastating loss has shaken the family and the Augusta community, with many expressing their condolences online.

The lack of charges has raised concerns within the community, prompting calls for transparency and accountability. Residents are urging authorities to expedite the investigation and provide updates to the public.
