-

A Warrenville man was killed Sunday afternoon while riding his motorcycle in Beech Island, authorities said.

Daniel Fenn, 47, was riding a 2001 Harley Davidson on Williston Road about 1 p.m. Sunday when a 2010 Buick pulled off Woodcrest Place into his path, Coroner Darryl Ables said in a press release. Fenn crashed into the front driver area of the 4-door vehicle.

Fenn was pronounced dead on the scene from blunt force trauma. He was not wering a helmet, the S.C. Highway Patrol said.

“The Coroner’s Office along with Highway Patrol are continuing with the investigation,” Ables said. “Toxicology analysis are pending.”

The Buick’s driver, identified as Caroline Gregory, was wearing a seat belt and was not injured.

Fenn is being remembered online. Friend Justin Key posted this: “Lost a best friend today. First met Daniel Fenn when I was 16 years old wet behind the ears lil skater cat tryna be in a band with big boys lol. Finally was able to be in a band with him and he taught not only me but the other guys as well what it took to go out the and grind tooth and nail as a band. We fell off for several years,  but as reunited our relationship over the past 2 and a half years and grew a bond like I never had with him before. We made great music together and have shared so many experiences with each other I’m forever thankful for. That corner of the practice space will never feel the same and the humble positive jus always great to be around guy has left this world.Daniel aka D aka chewy, I love you bro and miss you already bro. Heres to meeting again someday my friend.”
