RCSO is Investigating Reports of Girls Being Blackmailed Into Sex by Local Gang

-

Richmond County authorities two arrests following reports of sexual assaults on young girls.

Names and charges have not been released, but the arrests follow a report from a local Augusta woman that her granddaughter was blackmailed into having sex using a video of her giving oral sex.

In conjunction with The Austin Rhodes Show, The Jail Report started looking into claims Sunday that a local gang is using sex videos to blackmail young girls for sex.

Pamela Cummings told The Jail Report on Sunday that her 14-year-old granddaughter was the victim of the scheme.

A sheriff’s report labeled “suspicious situation,” obtained Monday morning, says that the juvenile girl “had a sexual encounter with an unknown black juvenile male that she had communication with over Instagram.”

The unknown juvenile snuck out of his house so that they could meet last week. They met behind a house, where the suspect told her he had a video of her having a “sexual encounter” with another boy. He “threatened to spread the video if she refused to engage in sexual activity with him,” the report says.

The juvenile reportedly had sex and then ran home. The girl ended up at Doctors Hospital for a rape kit.

Richmond County authorities say more information is expected in the form of another incident report.

Meanwhile, Cummings has gone on social media to warn others about the scheme.

“These boys need to be accountable for what they are doing,” she said Sunday afternoon, while crying. “This is so evil. This is terrible.”

Cummings said her granddaughter is a special-needs student with the mind of a 9 year old.

“She believes everyone to be honest and she trusts everyone,” Cummings said. “She just got in a very bad situation.”

She said the sex crimes started a few weeks ago. The granddaughter met a boy on the bus. He talked her into coming to his house. His stepdad rolled marijuana and gave it to the boy and the victim. While she was high, the boy talked the girl into giving him oral sex, which he filmed, Cummings said.

Cummings said the boy then passed the video to a friend, who used the video against the victim, telling her that if she didn’t meet him, the video would “go viral.”

Cummings said both boys were reportedly arrested Friday at their high school. Cummings said she posted about the crimes, and that’s when other girls started contacting her.

“These little girls are being forced into giving blow jobs,” she said. “Videos are given to Meadowbrook Boys, and the gangs approach the girls. ‘I saw your video. If you don’t want it to go viral, you have to do this.’”

Meanwhile, The Jail Report has reached out to Richmond County School District to try to confirm two arrests were made. We had not heard back at the time of this posting.
