Three young women are being sought for firing into a vehicle with a baby inside in Augusta, striking a backseat passenger sitting near the child, according to authorities.
Kenyonce Walker, Tumora D’Antignac and Keandre Smith are all being sought for an aggravated assault that took place on the afternoon of Sept. 4 on Bahama Drive.
Deputies answered the call that day and found bullet holes in a Nissan Altima, a man holding his baby and 23-year-old Kenyona Jones with a gunshot wound to right arm.
The driver, Rayqwaunza Smith, told authorities that she was on Bahama Drive when numerous vehicles started shooting at her moving vehicle. She drove off and ended up on Gordon Highway while two of the suspect vehicles continued shooting at her car while there were passengers, including Robert Holmes II and his baby boy. Jones was also in the back seat and was hit by the gunfire, a sheriff’s report says.
The vehicle’s tire was apparently struck and ended up on its rim, but Smith made it to Highland Avenue and Damascus Road. Jones was transported to the hospital.
Wanted posters for the suspects were released Thursday after an investigation. Anyone with information on the suspects are asked to call the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office at 706-821-1020 of 821-1003.
