Repeat offender Kevin Kirkland is wanted by Edgefield County authorities after allegedly driving on railroad tracks to outrun them last Thursday night.

Edgefield County dispatchers got a call about a drunk driver and a deputy saw the suspect after he hit a fence around Highway 23 and Two Mile Road. At that time, a deputy was close and got into a pursuit with Kirkland, according to ECSO Capt. Jason Ramey.

The suspect pulled over near Strom Thurmond High School, let two people out and took off again. He was chased until he went down a set of railroad tracks, Capt. Ramey said.
