Robbery Goes Bad for a Suspect in Aiken

From the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office: Shortly after midnight this morning the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office responded to a robbery that occurred at 2924 Eutaw St Aiken, SC.

Deputies met with the complainant who advised that he and another victim/roommate arrived home. While getting ready to enter the residence three black males all armed, wearing masks and dark clothing forced the victims into their house. The complaint further stated that he has two other roommates who were all home and that two people were visiting.

While inside the home the suspects were pointing guns at the victims and demanding money. One of the victims/visitor who was standing on an interior balcony threw some money and his phone to the suspects. The suspects continued to point firearms at the victims and make demands.

The victim/visitor who was on the balcony retrieved his hand gun and began shooting at the suspects who began shooting back.  One of the suspects was shot during the incident and all suspects fled on foot.

The Aiken County Bloodhound Tracking Team responded and a perimeter was established with assistance from the Aiken Department of Public Safety. Deputies checked with area hospitals who advised they have no patients suffering from gunshot wounds.

The suspects were not located. The motive for the robbery is unknown at this time. However, an amount of narcotics was located at the incident location. Investigators are asking for the communities help in identifying the suspects.
