When a customer at The Tavern on Belair stole a woman’s purse in September, the bar owner posted several videos of the crime on his Facebook page.
“Look at Andrew Lee Taylor stealing my daughter’s purse tonight,” the owner said.
A second video says, “Here is Andrew Lee Taylor running out the front door after stealing my daughter’s purse.”
The videos were shared over 175 times with a long list of comments. On Tuesday, Taylor was finally charged with theft by taking in the Martinez case.

According to a sheriff’s report, the theft happened just before 1 a.m. September 25 at the bar on Belair Road. The owner’s daughter, a 21-year-old woman, said she left her purse at the bar while she cleaned up and took the trash out.
When she was leaving around 2 am, she noticed that her purse was missing. She was able to look back on the cameras and identified Taylor as the subject who took it, a sheriff’s report says.
A woman that was sitting with the male provided the man’s name and phone number. A deputy searched through law enforcement databases and matched the information and photos with Andrew Taylor.
A warrant was issued and finally served this week.
