Sexual Battery Suspect Accused of Attacking Circle K Clerk in Augusta

-

Richmond County authorities are seeking the public’s help in identifying a man who sexually assaulted a Circle K employee over the weekend.

It happened around 2:30 a.m. Saturday at the store on Highland Avenue in Augusta. A sheriff’s report says the employee was refilling coffee creamers when the suspect came in the store.

“(He) brushed past her as he walked towards the back of the store,” a report says. “The black male then came up from behind her and grabbed her by the buttocks. The black male then lifted her up and pressed her against the counter.”

The suspect then walked out of the store in an unknown direction of travel, the report says.
