Suspects Wanted for Threatening Aiken Clerk in Failed Robbery

Two suspects armed with a knife are being sought after allegedly forcing a Circle K clerk into the back of a store Sunday morning in a failed robbery attempt in Aiken.

At approximately 7:05 a.m. Sunday, officers responded to a call regarding an attempted armed robbery at the Circle K at 702 Silverbluff Road. A clerk said a male and female suspect entered the store and threatened the clerk with a knife, forcing her into the back of the store.

“The clerk managed to lock herself in an office and call 911, prompting the suspects to flee the scene,” said Capt. Aaron Dobbs with the Aiken Department of Public Safety.
