UPDATED WITH NAME:
Aiken County deputies responded Monday morning to the 100 block of Breezy Hill Road for reports of a deceased person.
When deputies arrived on scene, they found an unresponsive black male in a back room of the home, bleeding from an injury to his upper torso. After Aiken County EMS arrived on scene, the victim was pronounced deceased, a press release says.
The victim has been identified as Stanley B. Brown, 57 who resided in the home, Coroner Darryl Ables said. Mr. Brown death is a homicide, an autopsy will be done in Newberry.
“This suspicious death is being investigated by investigators with the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office and the Aiken County Coroner’s Office,” a press release says. “This is an on-going investigation and as additional information becomes available, it will be released when appropriate.”
